Smith, Ann - 77, Oxford, passed Thursday, November 14th, 2024 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late William and Ann (Flemming) Drennan. After immigrating with her parents from Scotland in the 1950's, the family eventually settled in Oromocto, NB where her father was based at CFB Gagetown. Ann eventually met her future husband, Ken, in Germany and were married. For many years, Ann and Ken lived with their children at many different bases including in Germany. After retiring from the military, Ann and Ken returned to Oxford. Ann is survived by her children, daughter, Ann (Mike) Fahey, Mount Pleasant; son, Kenneth, Oxford; grandsons, Michael, Cody, Ryan and Brennan; great-grandson, Michael Smith; sisters-in-law, June Longshaw, Oxford; Betty (Frank) Froebe, Pugwash; brother-in-law, Robert, Oxford. Predeceased by husband, Kenneth Gordon Smith; son, William; sisters, Cynthia Shea and Jacklyn Salvona. Visitation will be from 12 (Noon) - 2 pm Thursday, November 21, followed by funeral service at 2 pm, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford.
