Alan "Peter" Sharpe - 61,of Pugwash passed away Friday, November 3rd, 2023, in North Cumberland Health Care Center, Amherst N.S., after a brief illness. Peter was born the 18th of December 1961, in Halifax, the son of the late John Mason"Jack" and Kathleen Elizabeth (nee Palmer) Sharpe, Kentville N.S. Peter leaves behind his sister Nancy and brothers, John and David as well as many friends and caregivers at Sunset Community,Pugwash N.S. Peter lived at home with his family before going to live at Bonnie Lee Farms in Chester N.S., eventually coming to Sunset Community in 1986, where he spent the last 37 years. Peter enjoyed many parties, drives, trips to Wentworth park for picnics, playing with his shiny sensory items, going swimming at the YMCA in Amherst or the beach and especially enjoyed a can of pepsi and marshmallows. Despite his challenges Peter was always able to communicate what he wanted or needed and he will be fondly remembered for his mischievous grin and chuckle when he knew he'd outsmarted his caregivers, be it by scoring an extra dessert or by lighting up all the floor buttons in the elevator. Peter will be missed immensely by everyone who knew him.
